This project is part of my ongoing effort to redesign mobility aids to be more empowering, intuitive, and socially inclusive.
I explored how users interact with traditional canes and walkers, and developed prototypes for a smart cane equipped with sensors for obstacle detection, wireless connectivity, and emergency alerts. The design is influenced by real-world feedback from users, including stroke survivors and older adults.
This project combines human-centered design with emerging tech to imagine what mobility aids can be.
